SPECIAL PRESENTATION
MILK

Gus Van Sant's new film is a powerful and inspiring account of the life of Harvey Milk, America’s first openly gay politician. In the wake of a courageous campaign to protect the rights of gay men and lesbians, Harvey Milk was brutally assassinated in 1978 by a fellow San Francisco city councillor. Sean Penn paints a brilliant portrait of Harvey Milk in a performance that already has Oscar odds on it.
This special pre-release screening is presented with ACON to raise funds for their ongoing work with GLBT communities around NSW. The screening will be followed by a fabulous after-party at the Polo Lounge and the Supper Club at the Oxford Hotel. The party includes an Absolut cocktail on arrival, gourmet hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine, champagne, great entertainment and a fabulous all-denim door prize from Levis.
Thursday 22 January, 2009.
6:15pm
Palace Academy Twin, 3a Oxford St, Paddington
after-party at Polo Lounge, 134 Oxford St, Darlinghurst

BOOK HERE
The frisky foursome from Another Gay Movie return in this much anticipated new romp. Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild! takes that story to the next level as the boys head out on spring break in Fort Lauderdale and get caught up in a truly wild contest to see who can get laid the most before the vacation ends. Throw in lots of gratuitous nudity and more hilarious pop references than you can keep track of —from Beach Blanket Bingo to Mean Girls and beyond — cameo appearances by RuPaul, Perez Hilton and adult performers Brent Corrigan and Colton Ford, and you’ve got a film that actually manages to be more gay than the original ‘gayest movie ever’.

Itty Bitty Titty Committee
ACON is launching Australia’s first ever strategy to address the health needs of lesbians and same sex attracted women. To assist them with in this very important initiative, Queer Screen is proud to partner with ACON in a special presentation of ITTY BITTY TITTY COMMITTEE.

Directed by the acclaimed Jamie Babbit (best known for the hilariously high camp But I’m A Cheerleader) Itty Bitty Titty Committee is a contemporary re-make of Lizzie Borden’s 1983 sci-fi feminist classic Born in Flames as a romantic comedy. Dumped by her girlfriend, rejected from the only college to which she applied and wearing an A cup in a C cup world, high School graduate and all American gal, Hannah (Melanie Diaz), finds her purpose and herself after she hooks up with the radical feminists, Clits in Action (CIA).
BOOK YOUR TICKETS HERE
The launch is a fundraiser for ACON”s Lesbian Health Project, followed by an exclusive post-screening function at the Bank Hotel. Support your community, enjoy the film and catch up with friends at the after party!
