Queer Screen joins forces with Dendy and BYRON CINEMAS to host a mini Mardi Gras Film Festival in Byron Bay May 16 - 18.

The three day event kicks off with our stellar collection of Aussie queer shorts MY QUEER CAREER.  $2 from every ticket sold will be donated to the Northern Rivers branch of ACON and guests will be treated to drinks before the films.  Thanks to the generous hospitality of Byron Cinemas, QS Festival Director, Lex Lindsay, will be attending the three day event.

Go to the "Special Events" page on THE BYRON CINEMAS WEBSITE to find out more.

Coming to a regional centre near you...

Do you live in Byron Bay, Wollongong, Albury or Katoomba...?

Queer Screen will be stepping out of the city cinemas and heading your way soon.  To keep informed on queer film events we'll be holding in your neck of the woods, click on the 'Join Our Email List' link in the menu on the left.

What IF...?

The 2008 My Queer Career finalists are an exceptional bunch of short films.  If you missed the opening night of the festival, grab a copy of the 2008 MQC DVD at a festival venue.  Once you've seen these films, PLEASE MAKE SURE you head over to the IF Awards and vote for our queer talent.
