Special Event Screening for PRIDE WEEK 2010

Aluizio Abranches, Brazil, 2009, 96 mins
A controversial tale of a passionate relationship between siblings, From Beginning to End caused a stir when released in its homeland of Brazil. Francisco and Thomas share the same mother but have separate fathers and, from childhood, the boys are extremely close. They are constantly hugging and falling asleep in each other’s arms. On a trip to Argentina, Francisco’s father insists they are ‘too intimate’ but their mother ignores the warning. Fifteen years later, on the night of their mother’s funeral, the brother’s relationship moves to the next level and they face a dilemma when Thomas is invited to Russia to train for the Olympic swimming team. Will they stay together for love or part for Thomas’s career?
Tickets are $20 each and include a complimentary drink and canapé after the screening.
