Before he was every teen’s favourite blood-sucker, Robert Pattinson played a troubled young Salvador Dali! This picturesque biopic shows a love affair between the great painter and Garcia Lorca. The two men try to fight their affections as their social group (consisting of luminary Spanish contemporaries such as Luis Buñuel) become suspicious and the civil war escalates. Followers of Spanish / Queer history will know the inevitable end of this story. Beautifully put together, this is an unexpected, possibly poetic-licensed, spin on two great artists and what, in a different world, might have been.
