June has arrived, which means its time for Queer Screen to
RAISE SOME FUNDS

Things you might not know about Queer Screen...

• In the past year between Mardi Gras Film Fest, queerDOC and national touring, we produced 116 individual events making Queer Screen the third largest annual program of GLBT cinema in the world.
• 12 years ago, we started queerDOC the world's first international documentary film festival solely dedicated to showcasing true GLBT stories
• Each year we tour our programs to Adelaide, Canberra, Brisbane, Darwin, Hobart, Byron Bay, and for the first time in 2009, Katoomba
• We actively support the development of Australian GLBT filmmakers through the My Queer Career program, which offers distribution, mentorship, advocacy and a prize pool worth $35,000
• We start each financial year with just 10% of the annual funds required to do all these things, guaranteed.  The other 90% we have to find every year.

Consequently, we rely heavily on our community to buy tickets to our films, become a Queer Screen member and where possible make a donation. You can do all of these things here on our website.
